Photo: U.S. Border Patrol Arrests MS-13 Gang Member in Toledo

U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Detroit Sector along with the Toledo Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force arrest a wanted 38 year old Mexican national and MS-13 gang member illegally present in the United States.

On January 23, U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Sandusky Bay Station, Detroit Sector Special Operations Detachment, and the Toledo Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force executed a federal arrest warrant in Toledo, Ohio. The arrest warrant resulted in the apprehension of Juan Carlos Alvarez-Robles, a convicted MS-13 gang member who has been removed from the United States five times previously.

Alvarez, a MS-13 Gang member is suspected of numerous nefarious activities in the Great Lakes region. Alvarez also has an extensive criminal history dating back at least 30 years. His past charges include: possession of a controlled substance, transporting/selling of narcotics, grand theft auto, as well as multiple accounts of theft and burglary.

“This was a perfectly executed warrant resulting in the removal of a hardened criminal from our community without incident,” said Acting Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Alan Booth. “I applaud all of the law enforcement professionals that worked on this case, resulting in making the city of Toledo a safer place.”
